We Are KNMN

My name is Michal Gat-Greenspan

and I was born in 1999.

I’m a human (Homo sapiens type), a social worker, painter, metalsmith, writer, partner, friend, animal lover- just another person meeting the world,

like everyone else.

I was born and raised in Binyamina, a small quiet town with endless skies stretching above the houses, full of fields, soaked with my memories.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been creating: drawing, taking things apart, putting them back together, building, searching for the way

something comes to life.
How it gains a kind of soul, becomes mine,or

someone else’s, in a deeply human way.

Besides love and friendship,

creation is my language.

It’s the thin interface between a turbulent, mysterious inner world and everything that exists outside of me. When I craft a piece of jewelry, I translate emotion into matter- beauty, restlessness, anger, joy, fear,

longing, or love.

Each piece is a small document, a fragment of something real in a world that’s constantly changing. What I love most about jewelry is that it outlives us.
Jewelry lasts longer than people, flowers, and cucumbers (that’s almost certain).

I believe a piece of jewelry isn’t a decoration, but a symbol, something meaningful.
The person wearing it carries a personal mark, almost secret, with a meaning they or someone they love give it.

Kinamon was born from that space, from the need to turn feeling into something you can touch. In my small studio in Binyamina, I create every piece by hand, with fire, metal, and a beating heart. Each one passes through me before it reaches you.

Every piece has its own story, part of it engraved in me

and the rest waiting to be written by you.
